How To form a Groop and Be A Groop Leader
The process starts with the Groop Leader registering and paying a $150 deposit. Don’t fret! $100 will be refunded back to the Groop Leader once the minimum group size is met of “Groopie” sign-ups. All Groop Leaders are required to have purchased a Bonnaroo ticket and a valid confirmation number is required to register. Once you submit your payment you will pick a Groop name. Here is your chance to get weird, very, very weird.
Once registration is complete, Groop Leaders will receive a confirmation email with a unique Groopie Registration URL link that they can immediately send out to anyone they want to be part of their group. This unique link is the only way your Groopies can snag a spot in your squad. A Groopie spot is $50/person (plus fees). All Groopies must have first purchased a Bonnaroo GA festival ticket before signing up. A valid confirmation number will be required at time of purchase. Groop Leader Registration Deadline is Friday, February 7th 2020.
As a “Groopie” you will be responsible for your own individual payment of $50. You MUST have already purchased your Bonnaroo festival ticket in order to sign up as a Groopie. This will be verified before you complete your purchase so please make sure to have your confirmation details handy. If you have not purchased a ticket yet, you can still do so at www.bonnaroo.com.
You should have received a unique link to join a group. Make sure to purchase your pass with that unique link instead of starting a new Groop. You will also receive a unique link after your purchase, so make sure to send that link out to your friends and network as well to continue to grow your Groop.
This landing page will have live updates on the size of your Groop, as well as the progression of other Groops attending this year’s festival. Pay close attention because Groops that hit certain goals just might get a Rootastic reward! Groopie Registration Deadline is Saturday, August 1st 2020.
One thing to keep in mind! If your group does not meet the required 24 person minimum (which includes the Groop Leader) by the Groopie sign up deadline, you will be asked to merge with an already existing Groop. NO REFUNDS will be given to the Leader or the individual Groopies if you are unable to meet the Groop Camping minimum.
When your group sign ups are complete and everyone in your group has been verified, your group will then be “official”!
Beginning in early May, Group Leaders will receive all Groop Camping parking credentials and check-in instructions required to access the Groop Camping area. Please note that each Groop Leader is responsible to distribute, at their own cost, the Groop Camping vehicle hang tags to their Groopies. So make sure you stay in touch and are in communication with your Groop Leader.
