Globally-renowned DJ and producer GORDO, formerly known as Carnage, is set to bring his TARAKA brand to the iconic San Francisco Mint on September 10th brought to you by All Day All Night, Dj Dials, and Soundproof.
The event will see The San Francisco Mint transform into a tech-house music mecca as a minimal production is set to compliment the rawness of the open-air central patio housed in the venue. The return to San Francisco, a little over a year after GORDO first touched ground in the city with TARAKA, hosting a block party in the bay area, is poised to be historic.
GORDO, whose real name is Diamanté Blackmon, has proven to host some of the hottest parties around the world under the TARAKA brand, which has seen editions everywhere from San Francisco to Bulgaria, Amsterdam, Miami, Tulum, Detroit, and New York and even expanded into a GORDO track release in late 2021. As one of the US’s biggest house music exports, GORDO is set to bring their inimitable tech house sound to thousands of fans visiting Mykonos over the summer.
TARAKA is all about bringing back the underground rave feeling, so expect an extended set, some surprise guests, and sounds that will transport visitors to another dimension, surrounded by historic walls of The San Francisco Mint.
Built to serve a rapidly growing city, and a thriving regional economy, the San Francisco Mint is a community gathering place that’s rich with history. Set to have held nearly ⅓ of the nation’s wealth in its heyday, the landmark has been transformed to host some of the best events, raves, and DJs in the world. Over the years, the building miraculously withstood earthquakes and fires and, though the bass-rattling sounds of GORDO might give its structural integrity a run for its money..

Diamanté Anthony Blackmon has already helped to define a global musical movement, but now he's doing it again: Gordo is a new house music alias from the artist previously known as Carnage. Blackmon has never been afraid to step into the unknown, and moving away from the hard-hitting, aggressive Carnage sound is certainly doing that. After rocking stages like Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Tomorrowland, charting #1 Dance Album in the US and working with artists like Migos, Mac Miller, ILOVEMAKONNEN, Little Pump and Tyga, Diamanté’s gone full circle back to where he started playing house music at Ibiza parties. Gordo's debut single 'KTM' became an instant Top-10 hit on the Beatport Main Chart and with over 100 shows under his belt, his live sets are among the hottest dance parties of the moment. This new project is about educating younger fans who might not know about the roots of house music. It is a passionate, heartfelt beginning that will redefine house music for the next generation. From here it is all about making the music Diamanté wants to make. No going back.
